Description: Brick
Story 1: Started building in 1936;  finished in 1937.  Unchanged since 1937!
Story 2: Effie Miller was post mistress 1950-1972, on Terrace Place.  She was responsible for having the present post office built.  She still owned it in 2000 and the postal service rented it from her.  (Owned by son after her death.) Effie also has been a superb gardener and has won many, many awards for her flower arrangements at the Terrace Park Garden Club of which she was a member for 64 years.  The Garden Club's Memorial bed was dedicated to her in the year of her death.   Effie's mother lived with the Millers at some time.  Effie's family came from a farm in Mt. Orb.  Her family ran an automobile agency.  Effie had 2 brothers.
Story 3: Stanley Miller was Village Clerk 1959-1976 and Community Historian 1959-1986.  He kept scrapbooks about Terrace Park places and happenings which are now in the Terrace Park Historical Society archives.  He also wrote articles for the Village Views which contain a lot of historical information about Terrace Park.  Stan Miller was a railroad postal clerk, on 4 days, off 4 days.   Stan & Effie had 2 sons, Dale and Stanley "Lee".
Story 4: In 1940 this family was honored to be chosen to represent Ohio as the "typical Ohio family" at the World's Fair in New York.  Village Views article on Effie Miller October 2000.
Story 5: Stanley L. Miller was born 26 April 1901 and died 10 February 1986, aged 84 years, buried Mt. Orab Cemetery.  Effie R. Miller was born 26 October 1902 and died 26 May 2001, aged 98 years, Craver Riggs Funeral Home.
Story 6: Memorial Obituary:  Cincinnati Enquirer, February 1986.  Stanley L. Miller, husband of Effie Holman Miller, devoted father of Dale Lewis Miller and Stanley Lee Miller II, grandfather of four.  Monday, February 10, 1986.   Residence Terrace Park.  Services, Noakes Funeral Home, Wednesday, February 12 at 1 P. M.  New Harmony Masonic Lodge #435 services Tuesday at 8 P. M. No visitation.
Tribute Paid to Stan Miller.  "Village council at its February meeting adopted a resolution memorializing the death of Stan Miller, praising his long service as village clerk and his overall interest and participation in village affairs.  Village Views adds its own tribute.  Stan was one of the founders of the paper 18 years ago, and helped to keep it going with contribution of "Stan's Memorabilia" and serving for years as its circulation manager.  It's people like Stan Miller who make things like this possible.  (Village Views 1986)
Story 7: Dale Lewis Miller of Milford, Ohio, was born in Springfield, Ohio and died 18 March 2015, aged 86 years.  He grew up in Terrace Park and graduated from Terrace Park High School in 1947.  His obituary (at the Terrace Park Historical Society) states, "Dale was fascinated with the Civil War and early American history, indulged his curiosity about roadside historical markers, and was known to step into museums of all sizes and kinds.  He enjoyed gardening and nature, nurturing orchids, and road trips including several cross-country in a bright red van."  Obviously he got his love of history from his father and his love of gardening from his mother.
