| Story 1: | Lelah and Marshall Gates became Terrace Park residents in 1942. She was for many years a teacher in the Cincinnati Public Schools. Marshall was a teacher too and also very active on our fire department (Village Views). (In the summers they went to Yellowstone Park where Marshall was a ranger.) Marshall G. Gates was born in Michigan 11 Jun 1912 and died in Ohio 16 Oct 1989. Lelah Gates was born 14 Nov 1904 in Highland County OH. She died in Ohio 2 Aug 2002, aged 97 years. Her maiden name was Ferneau and her mother's maiden name was Tener. |
