Description: 1 story "The Crescent" by Sears (siding, gable roof).  Model years 1921-33 (pages 95, 16, 37 in Houses by Mail.)
Story 1: Information from Jim Flynn (709 Myrtle) - Agnes Flynn, Jim's great grandmother was the first owner (?) of 903 Elm.  He thinks that house may have been built as an investment since she and her husband, John, built and lived in a large home at 902 Center Street in Milford.  Evidently there were earlier owners so Jim's great grandmother didn't build it.  We don't know why they bought this house.  For rent?
Story 2: From Bobby Reuter's baby book:  He attended Mrs. McIntosh's (McEntush's) Kindergarten here in 1929-30.  Other attendees were Chas. Davis, Eppa Rixey, Margaret Alice Jones & Lorna Critchell.
Story 3: Philip E. Stegemeyer Sr. was born 30 May 1900 and died  8 September 1963, aged 63 years,  buried 11 September 1963.     Pearl Elizabeth Hover (pronounced Hoover) Stegemeyer was born 12 December 1902 and died  10 August 1982, aged 79 years,  buried 14 August 1982. Both are buried in Spring Grove Cemetery, Cincinnati OH.  "Services for Pearl Hover Stegemeyer of Terrace Park will be at 2:30 pm Sunday in St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 100 Miami Avenue, Terrace Park.  Mrs. Stegemeyer, 79, died Tuesday in Mercy Hospital, Mariemont.  She was a member of the Altar Guild at St. Thomas Episcopal Church and Seven Hills Glass Club.  Her late husband, Philip E., was long time manager of Fifth/Third Bank in Madisonville.  She leaves two sons, Philip E. Stegemeyer Jr. of Terrace Park, and F. Lee Stegemeyer of West Palm Beach, Fla; a brother, William (A.) Hover of Ft. Myers, Fla., and seven grandchildren.  There will be no visitation.  Memorials may be made to the church or to the American Cancer Society.  Schafer & Busby Funeral Home is in charge or arrangements."
Story 4:

It looks as if this home may have been rental property until the Stegemeyers bought it, since the Meyers lived at 203 Cambridge.  The Stegemeyers may have rented it at first.  The deeds show the McEntush and Flynn ownership.

Story 5: Margie Thomas, an Anderson Township genealogist and relative of the Stegemeyers, furnished family information about Pearl.  Her grandparents were John Samuel & Clara B. (neeSharp) Hover.  Her parents were William Addison and Pearl Mae (nee Long) Hover.  Pearl Stegemeyer had a sister, Clara Belle, and a brother, William Addison.  Pearl and her husband, Philip Enderes Stegemayer, had 2 sons, Philip and Lee.  Terrace Park Historical Society has more information about the family.
