Stories:
Story 1: Alvin Norris delivered ice in Terrace Park.Story 2: This house had a fire and the front was burned off. Liz Martin remembers the fire and says it was in 1935. Thus it seems likely that the 1936 building date was when the house was rebuilt after the fire.
Story 3: Mary Gerard Cone's mother, Florence Gooder Gerard, was the older sister of Grenville Gooder. Mary Cone remembers this fire well as it was on December 17th when she was in the 6th Grade. Her Grandmother Gooder, was very ill in an upstairs bedroom at the time and died soon after. (Was this in 1935 or 1937?) Mary with her mother and sister, Nancy, lived here with the Gooders after their father Stephen Gerard died (from c1934-1937 or 8). [see 710 Floral] Then they moved to the upstairs of the Robertson's house, 602 Miami, when young Grenville Gooder was about to be born.
Story 4: Grenville M. Gooder was born 24 December 1893 and died 8 July 1966, aged 72 years, Craver Funeral Home. Margaret Houston Gooder was born 22 June 1897 and died 22 June 1992, aged 95 years, Craver-Hookom Funeral Home. Flora MacDonald Gooder was born 10 October 1863 and died 22 December 1935, aged 72 years, C. T. Johnson Funeral Home. Who was she? They are all buried in Section 4 of Greenlawn Cemetery, Milford OH.
Story 6: Steve Cone managing family's home in 2016. The home is generally rented out as the family members actually live elsewhere. 2016 for rent - 3BR, 1 BA, Classic Terrace Park home on a popular street in center of Village. Original character from the 1930s with high ceilings, hardwood floors and more.
