1974 - Nancy Sachs enlarged the back porch and enclosed it as a family room and added a deck.  1985 - new kitchen and 2nd floor addition.  Asphalt driveway (Ken Bassett).  1988 - Bassetts added to the side of the house and enlarged the kitchen (floor plan/blue print attached to permit).  1996 - permit for the Bassetts to enclose the front porch to create a foyer (Stephen Brown, architect; Bassett Dev. Inc., contractor).  2002 - permit for Ken Bassett to add a small sun room to the left rear of the home (Mallory homes, contractors, J. Stawicki, architect).

Description: English Tudor style clapboard with stucco and wood trim, 2 floors with basement and attic, gable roof.  Excellent view of the Little Miami River from the rear of the house.
Story 1: 1971 scrapbook - photo.
Story 2: This home of Mr. and Mrs. (Polly) Ken Bassett was on the "Walking through a Winter Wonderland" 1986 December 7 TP Garden Club House Tour.  It was a Sunday, homes were open from 2-5 PM and tickets were $4.  Proceeds were used for village beautification. 
Story 3: Death Notice: "Mildred Crim; daughter of the late D. Calvin (Cal) and Clara Crim (nee Woehle); sister of Mrs. Stowe (Clara) Lahusen; cousin of Mrs. Nellie Ireland; Thursday, December 11, 1969; residence, 715 Miami Ave., Terrace Park, Ohio.  Services Monroe-Copher Funeral Home, Milford, Monday, December 15, at 1 P. M.  No visitation."  
Story 4: The Lahusens were a very well known family because of the Halloween party they had every year for all the children.   They owned a side lot on which they built 721 Miami in 1959.  That side lot was where the Halloween party was held. 
Story 5: Kenneth Burrett Bassett was born 20 January 1931 and died 17 April 2009, aged 78 years, buried in St. Thomas Columbarium, Section 1, Niche 33, Evans Funeral Home. 
Ken Bassett went into the Navy right out of High School.  He was stationed at what was built as the Tome School for Boys in Port Deposit MD and was there as a young officer from 1956-59.  It became a large recruit training center.
