James and Anna Iuen moved here from
9305 Old Indian Hill Road. They are the parents of Edith Iuen Cook, mother of Virginia
Cook Marquett. Anna Rosa Iuen
celebrated her 100th Birthday, November 3, 1969
and died at almost 102
years old in 1971. (Their children were Alma, Rosina, Edith, John,
Marie, William, Helen, Evelyn and Richard "Dick". John and
William died in a grade crossing accident, John immediately and William 24
hours later. Their parents were away on their 1st vacation so Edith
was the one at the hospital with William. He never regained
consciousness.)
James W. Iuen was born 12 July 1860 and died 24 January 1953, aged 92 years.
Anna Rosa Iuen was born 3 November 1869 and died 20 September 1971, aged 101
years. Both are buried in Section 16 of Greenlawn Cemetery, Milford
OH, Craver Funeral Home. |

Elizabeth Rehrig Brown, 81, died January 13, 1978 at Our
Lady of Mercy Hospital. Wife of the late Lyman R. Brown.
Suvivors are: 2 daughters Mrs. W. Janis Gretz & Mrs. Blanche Harmon, 1
son, Robert L. Brown, & 8 grandchildren. Services St. Thomas

Clayton M. Strider turned 100 years old September 12,
2012! "On September 12, 1912 Clayton Strider was born in Clinton
County near Midland, Ohio, to Palmer and Musetta (Scoonover) Strider.
He has lived most of his life in southern Ohio, except for 4 years of Navy
service in the South Pacific. After graduating from
Wilmington College in 1936, Clayton taught school in seven different Ohio
cities until 1951. He then joined General Electric Co., Evendale, as
an instructor in organizational and manufacturing education. He was
married for 62 years to Rutheva Price of DeGraff, Ohio. They had two
sons, Stephen (1940) and James (1945) and three grandchildren. After
retiring from GE in 1975, Clayton was called back to the company for nine
additional years as adjunct faculty in Problem Analysis and Decision Making,
traveling, with Rutheva, all over the United States and Brazil.
Rutheva passed away in 2001, and in 2006 Clayton married Helen Sullivan,
church organist and family friend. The Strider family lived in Madeira
and Terrace Park in later years. Presently, Clayton and Helen reside
at the Otterbein Retirement Facility in Lebanon. (From the Cincinnati
