Story 1: | House built by and for a Mr. Sims who went to live in Clermont County instead. It looks as if he may have rented it out quite a while. |
Story 2: | Virgil Fender planted an acorn in the back yard in 1942 which is now a full grown oak tree. This information was engraved on a cobble when the stadium was built (true in 1995). |
Story 3: | Virgil
Woodrow Fender was born 20 October 1912 and died 19 May 2001, aged 88 years,
Evans Funeral Home. Anna Rosemary Fender was born 8 June, 1919 and
died 7 December 2000, aged 81 years. They are both buried in St.
Thomas Church Columbarium, Section 4, Niche 110. Virgil's & Rosemary's sons, Don & Gerry, live in Milford (2002). Rosemary Maerki Fender's parents were Ernest F. & Elsie Marie Maerki. Elsie died in 1963. |
