Archives from the Terrace Park Woman's Club: Mary Dunham Lloyd was born in one of
the Edwards' homes on Round Bottom Road on the outskirts of Newtown,
Ohio. She graduated from Hughes High School in 1896 and for 2 years attended
Oxford College, a Presbyterian College for Young Women in Oxford, Ohio. In 1904 she
married Huber Allan Lloyd and came to Terrace Park with him to live in the house adjoining
the Allan H. Lloyd home at 306 Rugby Avenue. There 2 children were born: Mary
Catherine Wersel Lloyd and Phoebe Edwards Lloyd. (Their house was later moved across
the alley to 313 Oxford Avenue.) While living in their old home they built at the corner of Rugby and Yale Avenues (303 Rugby) with Mr. Lloyd's ideas and designs: "the beamed, arched ceiling in the living room and dining room, the walnut balusters of the staircase with the cut-out hearts, the corner fireside seat whose back repeated the design of the balusters, the master bedroom with the deep, recessed windows at either end, each large enough to hold a crib". 2 more children were born here: Allan Huber Lloyd and William Thomas Lloyd. Huber Allan Lloyd died June 25, 1947. Mary Dunham Lloyd died May 3, 1957. She was a PTA member at the Terrace Park School and was the 1st village council woman. She served when the Baptist Church was purchased, stripped of pews, renovated and christened Terrace Park Community House. |

| Story 4: | John Randolph Schulkers was born 6 April 1926 and died 16 February 2005, aged 78 years. Suzanne Grover Schulkers was born 16 April 1926 and died 17 November 2001, aged 75 years, Craver-Riggs Funeral Home. They are both buried in St. Thomas Church Columbarium, Section 3, Niche 90. Their son, Paul Grove Schulkers, died July 29, 2005. Other Schulkers children are Margie Harbison (130 Windingbrook) & John Jr.) (Sold 2005) |
