| Description: | 2 story Victorian, siding, gable roof. There have been many additions made but evidently not recently because we have no record of them. Was this house a so-called Railroad House but not built in a cruciform pattern like 315 Amherst? |
| Story 1: | According to Caroline Meurer Burger (also in Census) who lived across the street, the Stumpf family owned the house when Caroline was young. They were a circus family. "The mother and older daughter were bare back riders. The father was a roust-about." The younger daughter, Mary, was a close friend of Caroline Burger. Later the Stumpf family "moved into the old circus house" (1 Circus Place). Mary Stumpf and Caroline Burger "had a great time putting on costumes we found in the attic. We would use rolls of tickets and pretend to sell them to the circus goers." |

| Story 4 : | Letter from Raymond J. Seiter, Jr. May 14, 1963 calls TP Village Council's attention to "an extremely dangerous situation ". A building on the south end of Miami, which was probably once a summer cottage, "is now in the advance stages of disintegration and decay. The structure was built close to the river's edge. The bank has fallen away and the building now overhangs the river. The portion that overhangs the river is without a floor." Seiter asked the Village to take steps to remedy this situation and enclosed a copy of his letter for the property owner. |
