Description: 2 story, siding, gable roof.
Story 1: Before the Cooks built their home here, there was an old barn.  Information from Lenore McMullin of 607 Wooster Pike.
Story 2:      Matt Cook, Terrace Park police chief (street commissioner and maintenance supervisor of public property) since 1950, earlier with Indian Hill Rangers, grew up in Indian Hill.  He was Virginia Iuen Cook's father.  He retired December 31, 1969.

Matthew Edward Cook was born 23 May 1894 and died 2 October 1978, aged 84 years.  Edith Elizabeth (nee Iuen) Cook was born 24 February 1894 and died 17 November 1982, aged 88 years.  They are both buried in Section 16 of Greenlawn Cemetery, Milford OH, Craver-Hookom Funeral Home.  (see  also 9305 Old Indian Hill Road)
Matt's parents had 7 children: John was born in Kansas City MO, a girl died under 2 years, Matt (his Dad died on his birthday; mother had a grocery store on Broadway & 2nd in downtown Cincinnati), Jim (had 1 daughter, Marie), Bernard (died after birth) and Joseph.  (Info from daughter: Virginia Marquette)
The Cooks built 603 Wooster in 1924.  They had two big maple trees and a mulberry out in front of the house.  A crow became a big problem eating the berries and then sitting in bad spots.  The Cooks one day caught the crow and took it on a long drive from which it did not return.  Then they got rid of the mulberry.  The two big maples were lost when 30 feet was taken from the front of their property in the widening of Wooster Pike.  All the land was taken on their side of Wooster Pike for the widening.  Steep drives were then put in. (probably in 1939 -  see Resolution No. 57).  1.287 miles "improvement")
Story 3: This home was rented to Hume and Velma Corwin (733 Indian Hill Road) for 3 years while the Cooks were in Florida.  They waited to come back in 1928 until daughter Marian Corwin (m Kotte) was born at 603 Wooster.
Story 4: Coltsons bought from Virginina Iuen Marquett in 1980, acting Power of Attorney for her mother.  Laura Colston is Henderson's older daughter (118 Fieldstone).
