Story 1: 1971 Village Views article on Lew Washburn in the file. Bit of TP history from Lew: TP Players who put on plays at the school once or twice a year. That's where the TP Sometimes Marching,Sometimes Symphony Band , also pit orchestra for plays and marching band in parades, began. Ted Annett said, I'll go get my trumpet to beef up the (recorded) music a little. Bob Sammis sat down at the piano to play and others went to get their instruments and we had a nifty evening of dancing to our own live big band music. Those were the days!
Story 2: Dantzelle/a Washburn, Lew's mother, died January 7, 1970. Jo Ann Washburn (nee Cox) was born 25 January 1926 in Saginaw MI and died 24 December 2015 in Cincinnati OH, burial in Armstrong Chapel Cemetery. Find A Grave Memorial # 156923281
