Stories:

Story_1: This house was built in 1946/7 in the name of Eugene Fille, son of Edith Iuen's sister, Marie. After WW II it was very hard to get building materials unless one was a veteran. Eugene was a veteran so the house was built in his name. Once finished it was signed over to James & Anna Iuen. The house at 9305 Old Indian Hill had become too big for them. They needed a smaller 1 story house.
Story_2: James and Anna Iuen moved here from 9305 Old Indian Hill Road. They are the parents of Edith Iuen Cook, mother of Virginia Cook Marquett. Anna Rosa Iuen celebrated her 100th Birthday, November 3, 1969 and died at almost 102 years old in 1971. (Their children were Alma, Rosina, Edith, John, Marie, William, Helen, Evelyn and Richard Dick. John and William died in a grade crossing accident, John immediately and William 24 hours later. Their parents were away on their 1st vacation so Edith was the one at the hospital with William. He never regained consciousness.)
Story_3: Elizabeth Rehrig Brown, 81, died January 13, 1978 at Our Lady of Mercy Hospital. Wife of the late Lyman R. Brown. Suvivors are: 2 daughters Mrs. W. Janis Gretz & Mrs. Blanche Harmon, 1 son, Robert L. Brown, & 8 grandchildren. Services St. Thomas Church. Burial Spring Grove Cemetery. Craver-Hookom Funeral Home.
Story_4: Clayton M. Strider turned 100 years old September 12, 2012! On September 12, 1912 Clayton Strider was born in Clinton County near Midland, Ohio, to Palmer and Musetta (Scoonover) Strider. He has lived most of his life in southern Ohio, except for 4 years of Navy service in the South Pacific. After graduating from Wilmington College in 1936, Clayton taught school in seven different Ohio cities until 1951. He then joined General Electric Co., Evendale, as an instructor in organizational and manufacturing education. He was married for 62 years to Rutheva Price of DeGraff, Ohio. They had two sons, Stephen (1940) and James (1945) and three grandchildren. After retiring from GE in 1975, Clayton was called back to the company for nine additional years as adjunct faculty in Problem Analysis and Decision Making, traveling, with Rutheva, all over the United States and Brazil. Rutheva passed away in 2001, and in 2006 Clayton married Helen Sullivan, church organist and family friend. The Strider family lived in Madeira and Terrace Park in later years. Presently, Clayton and Helen reside at the Otterbein Retirement Facility in Lebanon. (From the Cincinnati Enquirer, September, 2012.)Clayton M. Strider died May 7 2017, aged 104 years, at the Otterbein Retirement Community in Warren County.
