Stories:
Story 1: This land and the rest on which Wanoka Woods homes were built belonged earlier to Gustav A. Worz whose home was also on this property. There were 6 cottages built by Mr. Worz and rented to people from Cincinnati who used them mostly in the summer. Another building, probably where 307 Wanoka Woods now stands, was the Winona Canoe Club. (Information from Mr. Worz's grandson, Robert L Achor (see 313 Miami). For pictures see Little Miami River Camps..Story 2: #300 was originally numbered 2.
Story 3: In June 1969 Don Curless received tentative approval for the development of the property at the south east corner of Miami and Oxford, 2 lots to front on Miami, 1 on Oxford and 3 on a private road (Wanoka Woods). The 2 on Miami actually face onto Wanoka Woods and none face Oxford.
Story 4: Hayden Davis Jr. was born 25 December 1921 and died 13 January 2000, aged 78 years, buried in St. Thomas Church Columbarium, Section 3, Niche 92, Gilligan Funeral Home. Katherine Ann Kitty Metzger Davis was born in Gallipolis OH 19 February 1929 and died in Cincinnati OH 8 October 2015, aged 86 years, Craver Riggs Funeral Home.
