Stories:
Story 1: Built for the Manager of the Robinson Circus-1896. (?) This story may be false since the 1st owner, Otto Loth, was a merchant. It may be that the 2nd owner was a manager for the Robinson Circus but was out of town with the Circus when the Census was taken. Loth may or may not have had any connection with the Robinson Circus.Story 2: Russell & Catherine Errett (son & daughter of John & Aline Errett) lived here c 1925 according to a picture given to the Terrace Park Garden Club for the celebration May 2, 1995 of the Club's 75th Anniversary.
Story 3: For more information on the Errett family see John R. Holloway's web site at www.ohioerrett.homestead.com/errett2.html
From John R. Errett Holloway hollowayerrett@msn.com 3 Nov 2008 "I had a long talk with Katy (Catherine) Errett, she is now in her '90s, and gathered some information about the watertower/windmill building... She told me it was behind the 508 Stanton street house...If you walked out the back door of the home, it was situated to the rear rightside of property... She was told by her mother not to play on the watertower or climb it...It had a ladder to get up to the second level... Also she said Aline Errett had a hand waterpump/well to the left of the rear door... The watertower was torn down and Aline created a rose garden in the back yard...After talking to her I recommended sending her the picture to ask once again as to the location of the watertower...The only reason I am pursuing this so hard is I do not want to confuse the history of Terrace Park...I also found evidence that watertowers were not only for irrigation but can be used for steam engine trains...If this location of the watertower was indeed located behind the 508 Stanton house, did the Robinsons have property in the immediate area or the circus animals? I know from your website that the house was owned by the manager of the Robinson Circus...However, the house looks nothing like the house today...Was it another house that was standing there and then rebuilt or??? ... I will inform you of any new developments regarding the watertower once Katy reviews the picture herself."
