Stories:

Story 1: Betty Cook's parents both died in 1964: 1st her mother & then her father after living with the Cooks since the death of his wife. Pierson Cook died in June 2004

Millie & J. Clair Hall, according to the deeds, bought this house in 1940 from the Milford Building & Loan Co.  (We don't know who Emily White Mathews is who after that appears in the deeds.)  Millie Hall seems to have bought the house on 13 November 1948.  Clair and Millie were divorced and perhaps that's when Millie bought the house.  Perhaps they bought and lived in the house and then separated when Clair served in the Navy during WWII as a recruiter in Indianapolis IN, leaving just Millie living in the house.  Clair was born in Cincinnati and was a musician and studied at the College Conservatory of Music in Cincinnati.  He played double bass with the Cincinnati Symphony for several years.  This information is from his nephew, Charles R. Heath.  Clair was his mother's brother.  Since Clair married his 3rd wife 2 February 1947, I assume he was divorced from Millie before then.  There will be more information on this Hall family at the Terrace Park Historical Society.
