Stories:
Story 1: After Ruth's 1st husband died, she married Non Hickenlooper and they had this house built for them. There is a very large evergreen tree in the back yard. The story goes that this was their Christmas tree the first year they were in their new home.Story 2: Relative (brother?), Smith Hickenlooper, died at 94 years of age in September 2008. According to his obituary (in the TPHS archives) in the Cincinnati Enquirer, Tuesday, September 30, he was an industrial engineer who ushered Procter & Gamble into the digital age. He led the development and installation of P&G's first computer system in the late 1950s.
Story 3: Gordon W. Hickenlooper was born 7 March 1917 and died 11 February 2001, aged 83 years. Ruth O. (H rather than O in SSI) Hickenlooper was born 19 August 1921 and died 23 January 2001, aged 79 years. They are both buried in St. Thomas Church Columbarium, section 3, Niche 84, Busby-Schaefer Funeral Home. Gordon and Smith Hickenlooper were grandsons of Civil War General Andrew Hickenlooper.
