Stories:

Story 1: House built by and for a Mr. Sims who went to live in Clermont County instead. It looks as if he may have rented it out quite a while.
Story 2: Virgil Fender planted an acorn in the back yard in 1942 which is now a full grown oak tree. This information was engraved on a cobble when the stadium was built (true in 1995).
Story 3: Virgil Woodrow Fender was born 20 October 1912 and died 19 May 2001, aged 88 years, Evans Funeral Home. Anna Rosemary Fender was born 8 June, 1919 and died 7 December 2000, aged 81 years. They are both buried in St. Thomas Church Columbarium, Section 4, Niche 110. Virgil's & Rosemary's sons, Don & Gerry, live in Milford (2002). Rosemary Maerki Fender's parents were Ernest F. & Elsie Marie Maerki. Elsie died in 1963.
Story 4: Roger Early conducted the auction of the house in April 1995. It was not actually sold until May or June.
