Stories

Story 1   Robert William Kocher was born 9 July 1920 at aged 80 years. He was buried in Armstrong Chapel Cemetery 12 May 2001, Section 1, Row M, Grave 34. He was a World war II veteran. His interesting obituary is in the TP Historical Society archives. Eppa Rixey and Bubbles Hargraves, both of whom lived in Terrace Park, are baseball legends but Bob Kocher also was a baseball man. While on the baseball team at UC, Bob received a contract to play for the Cincinnati Reds (a lifelong dream) when a scout observed his stellar play for the Bearcats. Later in the Navy during World War II the Navy baseball team chose Bob to pitch against the Boston Red Sox. Bob struck out Ted Williams, one of the greatest hitters of all times! (quotes from Bob's obituary)
Story 2   Edward Morton Hageman was born 9 May 1910 & died (aged 85 years) 24 February 1996, buried 27 February 1996 in Spring Grove Cemetery, Cincinnati OH, Elden A. Good Funeral Home.Jane died 2003.
