Story 1: After Ruth's 1st husband died, she married Non Hickenlooper and they had this house built for them.  There is a very large evergreen tree in the back yard.  The story goes that this was their Christmas tree the first year they were in their new home.
Story 2: Relative (brother?), Smith Hickenlooper, died at 94 years of age in September 2008.  According to his obituary (in the TPHS archives) in the Cincinnati Enquirer, Tuesday, September 30, "he was an industrial engineer who ushered Procter & Gamble into the digital age.  He led the development and installation of P&G's first computer system in the late 1950s."
